FBR POS integration in Pakistan: a simple guide
FBR POS integration connects your point of sale to the Federal Board of Revenue so every sale is reported in real time and each receipt carries an FBR invoice number and QR code. This guide explains who needs it, how it works and how Kashio handles it for you.
What is FBR POS integration?
When a sale is made, the POS sends the invoice details to FBR's system and receives a unique FBR invoice number. That number and a QR code are printed on the customer's receipt, and the customer can verify the invoice in FBR's Tax Asaan app.
Who needs it?
- Tier-1 retailers registered for sales tax, such as chain stores, large outlets and stores in shopping malls.
- Other businesses FBR notifies, which can include restaurants, bakeries and other categories.
- Restaurants may also report to their provincial revenue authority (for example SRB, PRA or KPRA) depending on the province.
Rules change, so confirm your category with FBR or your tax advisor. Kashio's team can help you work out what applies to you.
